Pre School

The Pre-school opened in 1973 and is a voluntary group affiliated to the Early Years Alliance.  We are a registered charity and are managed by a committee and financed by fees and fundraising activities.

It is held in Sutton Village Hall, which has a safe and secure play area and is situated in a lovely position.

Its rural location means that it has a large catchment area, attracting children from outlying villages.  Parent/Carer help and involvement is very much encouraged and appreciated.

The Pre-School provides 24 - 26 places per session and is open 39 weeks of the year.  We open 5 days of the week in which we provide care and education for young children between the ages of 2 and 5 years. These are our opening hours: 

Mondays to Fridays 9 am to 3 pm

We provide 15 hrs of free funding for all 3-4 years olds. 

We adhere to a ratio of

• 1 staff to 8 children age 3 & 4 years
• 1 staff to 5 children age 2 years
